Xavier Bruce
ASSISTANT SPRINTS COACH
Xavier Bruce is a dynamic sprinter with a proven track record of speed, skill, and dedication. Currently competing at the collegiate level, Xavier’s 2024 season saw him qualify for the prestigious Big Sky Outdoor Championships in both the 100m and 200m, as well as contribute to his team’s success in the 4x100 relay. His personal best in the 100m this season was an impressive 10.68 seconds, achieved at the Sacramento State Invitational, while his fastest 200m came in at 21.71 seconds at the Big Sky Championships.
During the indoor season, Xavier continued to showcase his speed, qualifying for the Big Sky Indoor Championships in both the 60m and 200m. At the conference meet, he hit his season-best marks of 7.01 seconds in the 60m and 22.55 seconds in the 200m.
Xavier’s high school career is filled with impressive achievements as well. A 2023 graduate of Whitney High School in Rocklin, CA, Xavier qualified for the CIF State Championships in the 100m his senior year. He set a personal record of 10.54 seconds in the 100m at the Masters meet, and won first place in the 100m at the Sierra Foothill League Championships, eventually taking second in the Sac-Joaquin Section Div. I Championships. As a versatile sprinter, Xavier also claimed the Sierra Foothill League title in the 200m, recording a PR of 21.91 seconds.
In addition to his individual accomplishments, Xavier was the anchor for Whitney High’s 4x100 relay team, leading them to a league championship title. His achievements as a high school junior were equally noteworthy, placing second in the league in the 100m and fifth in the 200m.
